The ladies like the nano because they can put it in a pocket of tight pants and not look like they have a medical device protruding from their thigh.
The nano is flash based, which in theory means it will last longer. The 20GB is hard drive based, so it will no doubt fail within 5 years of its original purchase, and more likely sooner. Replacing the disk is expensive, and if you do it yourself it may break the entire device.
yeah, i know all about the specs... originally i was debating the iPod mini and the Rio Carbon cuz i only want 4-5G's. nano is way spiffier than either of those, plus it's flash based. my friend's 20G is probably a few years old.
oh hell, i should probably get the nano. chunka change...
My advice is to go with the Nano, assuming the price is comparable to the "super cheap" iPod. Personally I find myself listening to the same three or four playlists on my iPod for maybe a week at a time and the other 18gigs or whatever are just sitting there.
As for elipses, I overuse them when I'm talking. ~LP
fyi compact flash memory is only supposed to last for a year or two before it, also, begins to degrade. I'd say go for the ipod. They are the stylish fashion accessory in the apple, that's for sure.
Altho overly qualified as an opinionated person, please do not take my prescriptions as ordained.
i'm not looking for someone to rescue me, i'm just looking for a way to survive.

I would get the super cheap one (if it is really super cheap) and then in a few years if it gives out you can buy the latest and greatest...
You admire my logic, admit it... it's called 'ghetto logic'... ok, so it's not... but that sounded cooler... have I used enough ellipses?
